Ridge Moonbeam was sired by MCH Gladys Porter Zoo Ali's Tex +S who is also the
sire to the first Double Champion Doe (MCH/PGCH Piddlin Acres Revelee) and the first
Double Champion Buck (MCH/PGCH Piddlin Acres Blue Thunder
++*S 'VG') in the Nigerian Dwarf breed. Moonbeam's dam Piddlin
Acres Moonlight Sonata is full sister to MCH/CH Piddlin Acres
Dancer's Libido *S. Moonbeam is line bred on Goodwood Zeppo +S (Sire to
Goodwood Z Ali Babba +*S) and Willows Sweet Georgia Brown (dam to Willows
Beauregard, Willows By George, and Willows Good Golly). She has produced some
wonderful offspring for us her at Avolino Farm to carry on her legacy including
Avolino Farm CMH Moonstruck (Polled). She was retired from breeding in 2009--
not because of any health issues or because of any kidding related
difficulties- we just felt she had earned it. When we acquired Goodwood KW
Walpi Pueblo and Caesar's Villa STS Panda in 2008, they became the eldest does
in our herd, unseating Moonbeam from that place of distinction. However, we
always have, and will forever refer to Cactus Ridge Moonbeam as our Herd Queen.
Moonbeam passed peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of January
6, 2011 at just over 12 years of age. She was one of the last living daughters
of her sire, MCH Gladys Porter Zoo Ali's Tex +S. In her twelve years she was an
incredibly well-traveled goat: she was bred by Megan Fleck at Cactus Ridge
(Belton, Texas) and was sold in 1999 to Debbie Gessick at Velvet Acres in
Colorado. At the end of 2002, she moved on to Dimondale, Michigan and in 2003
she landed at Sue Brennan's Irish Whisper herd in Fowlerville, Michigan. Sue
then sold her to Nancy Lynch of Lynch's Itty Bitty Ranch in New Boston, Texas
in 2005 where she remained until we purchased Nancy's herd in the Spring of
2006.
Moonbeam
had a gentle spirit and a loving disposition. She was a grand old dam.
She
was very well loved. She will be missed, but she will never be forgotten.

Acres SC Charmin 2*D 'E' has a pedigree that demonstrates a prepotence for show
quality and heavy milk production. Both her grandfathers are AGS Master
Champions and are ++*S bucks! While not necessarily line bred per se,
she has a heavy representation of MCH Willows White Light'n +S 'E' and the
Goodwood Zeppo +S/Goodwood Z Ali Babba +*S/Goodwood Alamo Messenger
++S/Goodwood Mr. Periwinkle +S bloodline in her pedigree. She has one AGS
Unrestricted Leg toward her Master Championship as well as 1 Best Udder in Show
Award. When we acquired Charmin, we were really looking forward to see her
freshen having seen the photos (above) from a previous freshening. She kidded
for us in 2009 and her udder simply did not disappoint! She has exceptional
capacity and attachment in addition to very large, easily milkable teats. We
are waiting for Charmin to cooperate and produce a daughter for us… perhaps
this coming year she'll give us a doeling sired by *B Sugar Creek VL Tunes

Country's Bailey is one of three daughters we've owned out of
her dam, Hill Country's WB Sangria 2*D.
Her grandfather's are two of the best bucks in the breed: +B MCH Twin Creeks BH
Baywatch ++*S 'E' and +B MCH Goodwood Weisbaden ++*S 'E'. Bailey's
dam, grand dams, great-grand dams, and great-great-grand dams all have earned
their AGS Dairy Stars save for just two. Her sire has earned his +S in AGS and his
+B in ADGA, and both her grand sires and all her great-grand sires have earned
their ++S in AGS. Her littermate twin sister, Hill Country PS Boo! 3*D, made
the 2005 AGS Top Ten for High Butterfat on One-Day Milk Test-- earning the 5th
place spot and she also appeared as 1 of 4 does in the 2006 ANDDA District V
Specialty Show's 1st Place Dairy Herd. Bailey
is one of the most productive milkers in our herd, and her offspring are always
exceptional. We have retained Alexander Farms TX Spice,
Heatherwood K Benificence, and Avolino Farm TWK Blue Bailerina from
Bailey. We bred her to *B Sugar Creek VL Tunes
Walkman *S for a repeat breeding for 2011- producing triplets; twin bucklings
and a single doe, all with blue eyes. We are
tentatively retaining one of those 2011 bucklings- Avolino
Farm TWK Blue Bailout.

Stonewall's Raising Arizona ++S 'E', Twin Creeks Braveheart ++S 'E', and MCH/PGCH
Piddlin Acres Blue Thunder ++*S 'VG'. In the first show we
ever attended, we brought Honey Do into the show
ring and she came in 2nd in her Age Class, Reserve Grand Champion in the AOP
Class and Reserve Grand Champion Overall for the Open Show- the first time a
Nigerian Dwarf ever placed Champion or Reserve Overall at the Queen Anne's
County, MD Fair! One of her daughters, Avolino Farm ARM
Grandyosa resides in the White Rock Herd in West Virginia
and earned her ADGA Jr. Grand Champion leg in 2009! Honey
Do's kids are always beautiful improvements and she is a
reliable producer of twins or better and 4+lbs of milk a day.

large easily milkable teats with large orifices. Star is heavily bred upon the Goodwood

1st in each of her show outings. She has been a buck producer since her arrival
here at Avolino Farm-- that is-- until 2010 when she finally produced a beautiful
solid black doeling for us sired by Rosasharn J Charelston *S. Another doe whom
always can be counted upon to produce outcomes that are improvements over
herself, Star earns her place here by producing 4+lbs of milk daily and
producing beautiful, long-bodied, very dairy kids. Star will be bred for the

Her ancestors trace back to our two favored lines in the breed's herdbook: Goodwood Alamo Messenger ++S and ARMCH Goodwood Kauri Tree ++*S 'E'. Her bloodline reads like a "who's who" of contemporary and classic Nigerian Dwarf exemplars of the breed. She embodies elegance, refinement, and femininity. Her udder is high and wide, very well attached and capacious. She is about as dairy as we could ask for, and has gorgeous golden eyes. She's earned her AGS Restricted Leg as well as her Advanced Registry Dairy Star. (with 7.7% Butterfat!) Her 2010 son, Avolino Farm TLF Kazu *S resides in the Lil' Bleats herd in Colorado as one of their founding herdsires. We also owned Ikura's littermate brother, Rosasharn FS Senshi *S as well as two of her sons: Rosasharn GX Caviar *S (sired by ++B Rosasharn TL Galaxy +*S 'E') and Rosasharn's Tiger Eye (sired by ++B ARMCH Rosasharn's Tiger L ++*S 'E'). LIBR Peaches is another one of our herd's foundation does. She is a heavily-frosted broken buckskin and has a well attached udder with a smooth fore, and large, plumb teats. Her pedigree reflects a high concentration of Goodwood Alamo Messenger ++S/MCH Flat Rocks Surprise *D and MCH Willows White Light'n +S 'E'. Peaches can be a bit of a prima donna at times, but is well behaved on the milk stand. We have always planned to retain heavily from her over the years, but her kids are always some of the first to catch patron's eyes and we've wound up being talked out of all of her produce. She was bred to *B Sugar Creek VL Tunes Walkman *S for 2011 and produced a strikingly handsome singleton broken chamoisee buckling. She will be bred to a Walkman son (Avolino Farm TWK Blue Chipotle) for her 2012 freshening.

Farm TX Spice is a beautiful red doe with blue eyes. She is a
daughter out of Hill Country's Bailey-
one of the most prolific milkers in our herd. Spice
has an incredibly "socked-on" udder with large, plumb teats and is capacious
and productive in her own right (producing 4+lbs of milk daily). Like so many
pedigrees in our herd, hers is heavily composed of our favorite lines: Goodwood
Alamo Messenger ++S, ARMCH Goodwood Kauri Tree ++*S 'E', ++B Gay-Mor's RA
Kingwood ++*S & Stonewall's Raising Arizona ++S 'E', and Twin Creeks
Braveheart ++S 'E' & MCH/PGCH Raha Acres Twink's Pixie *D 'E' (1999 &
2001 AGS National Champion Senior Doe). We have retained her singleton buck son
from 2010, Avolino Farm TWK Blue Chipolte,
sired by *B Sugar Creek VL Tune's Walkman *S. We repeated this breeding for
2011 hoping that she would produce at least one doe for us, but alas, she
rewarded us with two gorgeous blue-eyed bucklings
instead. Her mammary has become even more capacious than our wildest
expectations! We've tentatively retain one of her 2011 sons, Avolino
Farm TWK Blue Jalapeño. We are three-peating her breeding to
Walkman again for 2012 and are again keeping our fingers crossed for a doeling
out of her.

our herd. She is a chocolate doe with random white markings and has a very
capacious, well-attached udder with buttery soft texture and large teats. Her

Fathom This *S, Twin Creeks BW Pacifica 4*D 'E', and Twin Creeks Brown Dirt
Cowboy *S. She has kidded twice for us since arriving here in 2008- producing
100% doe offspring. For 2011, she was been bred to *B Sugar Creek VL Tunes
Walkman *S and her track record continues! On March 16, 2011, Good Fairy kidded
with triplet chamoisee doelings! We are retaining at least one of the does,
Avolino Farm TWK Merriweather, as this breeding promises to pay high dividends!

Heatherwood E Ms M is a truly petite dairy doe. She has freshened in the past for us with a lovely, proportionate udder with long plumb teats. Her pedigree is dominated by Goodwood Alamo Messenger ++S and ARMCH Goodwood Kauri Tree ++*S 'E' progeny with a prominent line breed along the AGS 1999 National Champion Senior Buck: MCH/PGCH Goodwood X Ray +*S 'E' 'E'. We've seen her fresh twice, both times with singleton produce and were confident that her capacity would increase with a future freshening if she produced multiples… Well, Ms. M did in fact produce triplets (twin does and a single buckling) for us on March 20, 2011 and her capacity indeed has increased… we have had her up for sale for about a year- but in light of her much improved capacity, she will be staying put. One of her 2011 doelings, Avolino Farm FID Miss-T (sired by Dill's OH Fiddle Stix *S) will also be sticking around. A repeat breeding to Fiddle Stix is in store for 2012.
