Avolino Farm TWK Bailerina

Avolino Farm TWK Bailerina is a broken chamoisee doe with blue eyes. Her dam, Hill Country's Bailey is the most prolific milker in our herd, producing a full gallon of milk daily. Pairing Bailey with our herdsire *B Sugar Creek VL Tunes Walkman *S was a forgone conclusion when developing our 2010 (& 2011) Kidding Schedule. After all, Walkman's dam (ARMCH/GCH Sugar Creek PT Show Tunes 2*D 'E' 1*M 'E') has perhaps the largest udder on a Nigerian Dwarf Doe in the history of the breed. We expect heavy milk production from this breeding and have repeated it for 2012. Bailerina will be bred to Avolino Farm TWK Blue Chipotle for 2012. This is going to be a potent breeding as Bailerina and "Chip" are both sired by Walkman and Bailerina's dam is also "Chip's" maternal grand dam.

Avolino Farm C Night Sky

Avolino Farm C Night Sky is the first daughter out of Irish Whisper Star LIBR that we have been able to retain! Star is a foundation member of our herd, and she has been a consistent buck-producer save for a doe kid last year that was already spoken for via a reservation on the breeding. Night Sky is solid black- not a speck of white or any other color anywhere. With her dam's udder being so capacious and having large teats, we thought pairing her with Rosasharn J Charleston would be a great idea. Charelston's dam, ARMCH Rosasharn's Tom's Bit-O-Honey 4*D 'E' AR1810 4*M has great attachment as well as capacity so we are looking for a blending of these desirable traits in Night Sky's mammary. She is being bred to Avolino Farm TLF Pinoli for her first freshening in 2012.

Avolino Farm TWK Merriweather is a beautiful chamoisee doeling with a patch of white on her left side. She is one of three doelings produced from her dam's 2011 freshening. Her dam, Good Fairy, has an absolutely awesome udder: exceptional capacity, shape, and attachment with strong medial, and nicely placed teats. Merriweather's pedigree is "full of milk" and is a collection of some of our favorites in the breed. She may be bred for her first freshening in 2012 to Avolino Farm TWK Blue Jalapeño who shares her sire with Merriweather. Aside from breeding along that common paternal line, we'll also be taking advantage of a line breed on +B MCH Twin Creeks BH Baywatch ++*S 'E'.

Avolino Farm MM Twilight is a gorgeous light gold doeling with moonspots and a partial dorsal stripe. Her pedigree is a blend of the best of our foundation bloodlines and the more contemporary lines we have been incorporating into our herd. She will allow us many options for breeding back on a number of excellent members of the herd book through several select members of our buck pen. Avolino Farm FID Miss-T (aka Misty) is a dark gold and white doeling. Her dam wowed us in 2011 with triplets: twin doelings and a single buckling. Her dam's (Heatherwood E Ms. M) mammary was also exceptional this year. Previous freshenings had revealed a well-attached, beautiful udder with nice sized, plumb teats-- we were simply looking for capacity, which truly came in this year. We think this doeling ought to have a structurally correct udder with a lot of production in her future… her teats are very large right now at only 8 months of age. She may be bred for 2012 to Avolino Farm TWK Blue Jalapeño.

The pairing of these two members of our herd creates a genetic package that is incredibly weighted upon ++B Gay-Mor's RA Kingwood ++*S and heavily weighted upon the twin buck brothers of +B ARMCH Lost Valley Tae-Bo +*S 'E' (2009 & 2010 AGS National Champion Buck) and MCH/CH Lost Valley CM Music Man *S. We are eager to see her grow up! (and her littermate brother, Avolino Farm BNS Boondoggle whom we also retained this year.) While the temptation is there to perform a brother to sister breeding… for Surrey's first freshening we are tentatively planning to pair her with Heatherwood K Benificence for 2012.

We think Pecan Sandie will carry on the legacy of heavy milk production, and superior conformation that her pedigree is built upon. Avolino Farm SO Ayriel is a single doeling produce out of her dam's first freshening. The pairing of sire to dam for this breeding was done with one thought in mind: MILK. While a glance at Ayriel's pedigree demonstrates this breeding is an outcross- both sides ought to compliment each another, as the common element throughout is lots of milk production. At her birth, Ayriel was nearly the "spitting image" of her sire. For her first freshening, we are going to opt for a line breed along her paternal bloodline as she will be paired with Avolino Farm TLF Pinoli.
